40th birthday present ideas

There are many good ideas for a 40th birthday present, it all depends on what kind of gift you want to get them.  Of course you can always get something that they might want, or something that you think they have always wanted.  But then you can also get them something as a funny gift.  Someones 40th birthday is usually a big deal, this is because this is the first birthday that they are considered "over the hill".  Since this there are many gifts that you can get them to tell them how old they are. 

A lot of the 40th birthday gag gifts are usually black and white, and have something about how old the person is.  Some of the things might be a cane, or something about being over the hill.  A lot of the funnier ones are an Retirement time countdown clock, or an over the hill mouse pad that has a bunch of sayings that old people would say, etc.  These are all meant as gag gifts and not actual gifts that you would want to give to someone.  Unless of course you have that sort of relationship with them. 

Other gifts that you can get them would be stuff about remembering the past, since most people in their 40's have everything that they could want anyway these are usually the best ideas.  They are also the ones that they will remember the longest.  There are many places that you can find that have like old magazine reprints and things like that, and you can get them framed.  You can find the reprints here at this site.  There are also places you can get useful things personalized too.  Get them a framed picture of their family, they would love this kind of gift because it has thought to it, and just isn't the same old kinda gift.  Another good idea would be to get them tickets to their favorite sporting event or something similar.  A good idea that was brought up to me was getting them tickets for the Richard Petty driving thing.  This would be a great gift for someone that is a Nascar fan.
